Yes.
We offer reduced rates for trips of 15 days or longer. Patagonia is best experienced slowly, and longer roadtrips usually get better pricing.

Credit card payments include a 3% processing fee.
Yes.
On the day of delivery, an amount of $1,500,000 pesos must be paid, which can be charged to a credit card, transferred, paid via PayPal, or in cash. The refund, provided the camper and truck are returned in the same condition as received, will be processed within 48 hours once the RV is returned (with a full diesel and gas tank). For rentals that include travel through Argentine territory, the security deposit increases to $2,000,000 pesos.
Yes, but please consider if you choose to cancel your reservation before 30 days from the travel start date, 75% of the paid amount will be refunded. If you decide to cancel your trip after those 30 days, no refund will be issued.
Pickup & Drop-off
Our main base is in Puerto Varas, Chile.
We also offer pickup or drop-off options for an extra fee in:
- Puerto Montt Airport
- Coyhaique
- Puerto Natales
Other locations may be available on request.
- Pickup: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Drop-off: before 4:00 PM
Every pickup includes a full walkthrough of the camper and its systems. For the drop-off please consider that after 4:30 PM an additional day’s rental will be charged.
Driving in Patagonia
You only need a valid driver's license from your country.
- Minimum age: 25 years old
- Manual transmission experience required
Additional drivers must meet the same requirements (25+, Class B, manual experience) and must be declared to SOuth Nomads Campers before the rental begins. This is very important, because undeclared drivers are not covered by insurance.

Insurance & Safety
Insurance is included in the rental.
The deductible is approximately 1,000 EUR.
This mainly applies to common Patagonia road damage like windshield chips from gravel roads.
Yes, please. We kindly ask that you follow this return checklist:
- Fuel tank: The camper is delivered with a full tank. It must be returned with a full tank. Missing fuel is charged at CLP $2,500/liter.
- Interior & exterior: clean (fee: up to $150,000 if not)
- Portable toilet: empty and clean (fee: up to $300,000 if not)
- All equipment: complete and undamaged per the inventory list
- Vehicle documents: returned to South Nomads Campers
